En Amigas de lo ajeno, hemos querido compartir esta vez algo publicado en el blog Enclave MusiCoral. En esta entrada nos cuentan la historia de La tregua de Navidad. Una historia real.
Ojalá hubiera durado para siempre. Fue un alto el fuego en las Navidades de 1914 durante la I Guerra Mundial. Duró muy poco, pero unió a dos bandos hasta entonces aparentemente irreconciliables.
Nos hace pensar en cuánto mejor nos iría, y nos va, cuando desobedecemos órdenes absurdas de gobernantes que nos convierten en enemigos entre nosotros para perseguir sus propios intereses, que no los nuestros. Nos hace recordar la importancia de utilizar el sentido común y escuchar la intuición, el corazón por encima de las normas, ya que eso es lo que nos conecta con nosotros mismos y por ende con el prójimo.

In Pilferings With References this time we wanted to share something posted in the blog Enclave MusiCoral. In this post they tell us the story of The Christmas Truce. A true story.
If only it had lasted forever. It was a ceasefire at Christmas 1914 during the First World War. It was short-lived, but it united two hitherto seemingly irreconcilable sides.
It makes us think how much better off we would be, and are, when we disobey absurd orders from rulers who make enemies of each other to pursue their own interests, not ours. It reminds us of the importance of using common sense and listening to our intuition, our heart over rules, for that is what connects us to ourselves and therefore to each other.
